Waves World Top 300 Update
As you know, as part of our program of decreasing supply with the intention of raising overall demand for WW, we have been updating our daily distributions of the Top 300 Club.
The original allocation of 400 million WW was airdropped to our community from June 2018 to June 2019. As this was gradually recycled through the Waves World ecosystem, we started dropping a total of 400,000 WW to the Top 300 holders every day.
In all crypto ecosystems – at least the ones that actively seek to drive value to their communities – there is a balance. Distribute value, but make sure that inflation doesn’t kill that value in the process. That’s why we’ve aimed to tread that fine line between sustainability and providing something worthwhile.
As we previously announced, we’ve been making gradual changes to the daily airdrops. It’s time for another update!
Waves World Top 300 Loyalty Airdrops
Since the last update, Waves World has been airdropping 11,250,000 million tokens per month (375,000 WW per day for ~30 days) to the Top 300 holders.
Starting from April 20, 2020 this will be reduced further:
Top 100 = 2,600 WW per day
Top 200 = 575 WW per day
Top 300 = 325 WW per day
The plan is to monitor the markets (which have been particularly volatile in recent weeks) and continue to fine-tune the airdrops until scarcity starts to have a positive effect.
Regular buybacks from block rewards generated by the Waves World node and through marketplace sales, along with this reduced available supply, should achieve mutually beneficial results for the whole community.
